As you’ve probably noticed by now, our solution is extremely flexible when it comes to customizing different features within the software based on how you and your team want to utilize Synct.

Provider users can turn on/off the response options they would like to be able to select from when responding to a care request. The response options can be updated at any time within the provider profile. The Synct Response Options include the following:

Respond with Care Instructions: Responding with Care Instructions is the standard response option in Synct. When a provider responds with Care Instructions, the patient is charged an amount similar to their copay.

Schedule an Office Visit: If a provider finds it appropriate for the patient to come into the office instead of providing virtual care, this is the option they would select. If this response option is chosen, the patient is not charged for their care request.

Visit Urgent Care: If a provider finds it appropriate for the patient to visit urgent care, this is the option they would select. If a provider chooses this option, the patient will not be charged for using Synct since their care needs would be met elsewhere.

Telemedicine Video Conference: If a provider would like to see the patient before providing care, but it does not necessarily require an office visit, providers can offer the option of scheduling a video conference with a patient.

In Part 6, we will highlight more details of our Video Conferencing Solution.

Bridging the Workforce Shortage Gap /2018/06/32876/ /2018/06/32876/#respond Thu, 14 Jun 2018 14:21:06 +0000 /?p=32876

A recent Modern Healthcare article reported a projected shortage of 29,400 nurse practitioners by 2025 and a potential gap of 121,000 physicians by 2030. Those are frightening numbers! Fortunately, implementing a telemedicine solution can help bridge the gap.

Extremely busy practices, as well as practices that are already experiencing provider shortages, are using Synct to quickly care for patients with non-emergent, basic care needs. If your organization is looking to hang the “Help Wanted” sign, telemedicine may be your solution.

Not only is Synct beneficial for practices needing to bridge the workforce shortage gap, but Synct also generates a new revenue stream and creates office efficiency. On top of the benefits it brings to the table for physician practices, patients also enjoy the convenience of not having to schedule appointments or wait in the waiting room.

Customizing Synct Part 3: Reporting Features /2018/06/customizing-synct-part-3-reporting-features/ /2018/06/customizing-synct-part-3-reporting-features/#respond Tue, 12 Jun 2018 14:38:07 +0000 /?p=32869

One of our goals when creating Synct was to replace patient phone calls for care due to the fact that when caring for a patient over the phone, there is no record of care. With Synct’s Reporting Functionality, users will always have a report of each care request submitted.

The Synct Reporting features allow users to run custom and standing reports. The Synct dashboard includes a general activity report that is easily accessible and can be filtered by request status. Provider users also have the option to export this report by printing it or downloading a PDF, CSV, or Excel file.

For full reporting functionality and to run more specific reports, users can select date intervals such as last week or this month, or for a specific date range.

Standing Reports:

With Standing Reports, users can run reports based on Activity, Patient Activity, Condition, Response Type, Response Time, or Cancellation.

Custom Reports:

When creating a Custom Report, providers can filter the reports by selecting which fields they want to include in the report, such as Patient Name, Patient Gender, Conditions, Physician Office Team Members, and Request Date and Time. and the custom reports can be saved for future reference after running the report.

Not only can users run any of these reports at any time, but our team also sends a monthly report to our users at the end of each month in order to track success.

Below, we’ve included a video that briefly runs through Standing and Custom Reports in the Synct software:

Customizing Synct Part 2: Call Group Functionality /2018/06/customizing-synct-part-2-call-group/ /2018/06/customizing-synct-part-2-call-group/#respond Mon, 04 Jun 2018 14:25:36 +0000 /?p=32856

When searching for a telemedicine solution, many providers wonder whether it is possible to be off-call/on-call for another provider while using virtual care, how to manage their schedule and how to be notified. With Synct, it’s simple to do all the above. The Call Group Setup and Scheduling functionality allows providers to share call with multiple call group members. Providers can invite multiple physicians to join their call group and manage their patients while they are on call for the off call physician.

While a provider is on call, patient care requests are forwarded to their Synct Dashboard, and they will receive email or SMS text message notifications based on their specific notification preferences. While a provider is off-call, patient care requests will still be shown on their dashboard and in reports, but they will not receive notifications of new care requests. This ensures that both providers have reports of each request.

The Call Group schedule feature allows providers to access and manage their call group schedule including adding new call times and editing scheduled call times. Here’s how simple it is:

Customizing Synct Part 1: Team Member Management /2018/05/customizing-synct-part-1-team-member-management/ /2018/05/customizing-synct-part-1-team-member-management/#respond Tue, 29 May 2018 13:12:30 +0000 /?p=32842

The first feature of Synct that we will highlight is our Team Member Management functionality. This feature allows you to add and manage nurses, assistants, practice administrators, and other office team member roles so they can assist with managing your account. Physicians can add and manage their office team members from their account so that their nurses can organize care requests and respond to their patient on behalf of the physician.

Once team members are added, you have the ability to choose the security access levels and categories for each team member. The 3 categories are Care Requests, My Patients, and My Reports. You have the ability to set the security access level to Full Access, Read-Only Access, or No Access for each category for each team member. The access levels and categories can be updated or changed at any time as well as the status of the team member, which can be changed from Pending, Active, or Inactive.

Part 10 – Attract New Patients /2018/04/attract-new-patients/ /2018/04/attract-new-patients/#respond Thu, 26 Apr 2018 14:22:14 +0000 /?p=32640

Understanding Telemedicine & The Benefits for Physician Practices

Part 10- Attract New Patients

Patients want convenience and expect their physicians to be able to interact with them through everyday technology. A 2017 study found that 50 million Americans are “ready to ditch their primary care doctor” and switch to a PCP offering telemedicine.

For that reason, many organizations are using Synct as an outreach tool to attract new patients and to retain their existing patients. Unlike many virtual care platforms, we do not employ providers, so Synct is never competing with you for current or existing patients.

In order to assist our clients, we’ve developed promotion and outreach plans to guide your success. While our Promotion Plan includes all of the resources and materials an organization needs to promote Synct to your current patients, our Outreach Plan includes the resources your organization needs in order to capture new patients and grow your organization. We provide all of the marketing materials and resources for your organization to succeed in implementing Synct and getting the word out to potential future patients.

Part 9 – Office Efficiency /2018/04/growing-revenue-2-2/ /2018/04/growing-revenue-2-2/#respond Sun, 22 Apr 2018 13:43:29 +0000 /?p=32614

Understanding Telemedicine & The Benefits for Physician Practices

Part 9- Office Efficiency

“My physician told me about this service, and I used it a few weeks later on a Saturday morning. No urgent care visit for me! I received treatment through this virtual visit by my own physician.” – Jennifer

It’s safe to say most physician practices and healthcare organizations want a more efficient office. Telephone-based care has started to increase in physician offices, which creates inefficiency, and providers are not getting paid for this type of care.

Synct is just as efficient for providers as it is for patients. Our platform is carefully designed around the needs of both patient and physician. Synct is intuitive and easy to navigate.

With Synct, patients don’t have to play “phone tag” in order to get in touch with their physician’s office, and they don’t have to wait in the office to see their doctor or spend time traveling to and from the office. For patients it takes under 5 minutes to register and under 5 minutes to submit a care request. Patients love the ease and efficiency of our platform.

Physicians using Synct save time for both themselves and their patients. It only takes 2 minutes on average for a provider or office team member to respond to a patient’s care request, while a telemedicine consultation via phone call can take an average of 21 minutes to complete. This also saves time for physician office staff because they do not have to spend time returning patient care question calls or offering care instructions over the phone.

Part 8 – Web Presence /2018/04/webpresence/ /2018/04/webpresence/#respond Mon, 16 Apr 2018 13:00:13 +0000 /?p=32606

Understanding Telemedicine & The Benefits for Physician Practices

Part 8- Your Web Presence

Now, more than ever, it is important for health care organizations to have a positive online presence. Although the Internet has been the go-to source for health and wellness information for a quite some time, many physician practices are unusually absent in the online world, often treating the web as an afterthought to traditional media.

Potential and existing patients are using websites and social media as a starting point for gathering information about your organization and providers. In fact, a recent Health Management Academy survey showed that almost half of participants were influenced by social media when searching for healthcare services, and 66% used their provider’s website to learn more about the facility or get updates about their treatment. (Source: http://www.healthcarebusinesstech.com/hospitals-social-media/)

Our team realized the need for a strong online presence when it comes to smooth telemedicine implementation, so we began offering Web Services. Our Web Services team specializes in complete website design for health systems and organizations of any size.

If you’re looking to enhance your online presence, ask yourself the following about your practice’s current website:

  1. Is our website design clean, professional, and simple to navigate?
  2. Does my practice’s website have relevant information about our providers, locations, specialties and services?
  3. Does our website have links to the patient portal?
  4. Does our website have information about after-hours care?
  5. Does our website have information about insurance, privacy, billing, etc.?
  6. Is our website maintained often?
  7. Does my organization’s website have Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
  8. Does our website have shareable health and wellness content for patients?
  9. Is our website consistent with the brand of our organization?

What message does your current online presence send to your potential and existing patients?

Synct is your one-stop solution for your digital presence.  Whether you’re interested in telemedicine options for your practice or website development, we’re here to help.
